L'Associazione dei catecheti
italiani
è nata nel 1976 con il nome di GIC
(Gruppo Italiano Catecheti)
e successivamente (1998-2000) si è trasformata
in Associazione Italiana
Catecheti (AlCa). Essa promuove la ricerca catechetica,
favorendo l'incontro, il dialogo e la collaborazione tra i
catecheti italiani. Il

Curatore
Luciano Meddi, già presidente dell’associazione AICa, è docente
di catechetica nell'Istituto Superiore di Catechesi e Spiritualità
Missionaria della Pontificia Università Urbaniana di Roma. Collabora
con numerose riviste specializzate. Tra le sue pubblicazioni si
segnalano i volumi:

Descrizione
Questa
ricerca
dell’AICa (Associazione Italiana dei Catecheti) sulla situazione
della formazione muove dall’osservazione che i risultati
dell’azione catechistica sono inadeguati alle esigenze della
Chiesa italiana. In questo senso essa partecipa dello sforzo di
comune comprensione per il futuro della Chiesa e delle comunità
cristiane, coinvolte in un cammino di ripensamento che ormai
dura da quarant’anni. Dietro l’impulso del Concilio esse cercano
di comprendere quali svolte pastorali sono necessarie per ridare
alla Chiesa la possibilità di comunicare in modo significativo
il Vangelo alle nuove generazioni. Una di esse è proprio il
ripensamento formativo-educativo dell’insieme della pastorale
nella prospettiva missionaria.
Le
comunità posseggono numerosi
percorsi
formativi.
Questi rimandano a dimensioni dell’agire pastorale, ad agenzie,
istituzioni e centri di ricerca teologica. La
tesi
fondamentale
del libro è che occorre ripensare tali percorsi a partire da un
concetto adeguato di formazione. Le diverse agenzie pastorali
potrebbero da ciò trovare una collocazione più adeguata. Con
queste, in un prossimo futuro, la catechesi dovrà e vorrà
entrare in profonda interazione in nome della pastorale
d’insieme o
pastorale
integrata
e in nome dell’unità del destinatario, come ci insegnano i
fondamentali documenti programmatici episcopali.
Si
potrebbe formulare l’ipotesi di un ripensamento globale del
momento iniziatico-formativo-educativo da affidare ad una
istituzione che faccia del momento iniziale della formazione
della vita cristiana il suo compito centrale.

The Italian Associatian of catechetics started
in 1976 with the name GIC (Italian Group of Catechetics) and later
(1998-2000) changed to Italian Association of Catechetics (AICa). It
promotes the catechetical research, favouring the meeting, dialogue
and collaboration among the Italian Catechists. Its official site is

Editor
Luciano Meddi, has been president of AICa Association and is
at present professor of catechetics at the Superior Institute of
Catechesis and Missionary Spirituality at the Pontifical Urbaniana
University in Rome. He writes for many specialized magazines.
Amongst his publications: Catechesi. Proposta e formazione della
vita cristiana, Padova 2004; Integrazione fede e vita. Origine,
sviluppo e prospettive di una intuizione di metodologia catechistica
italiana, Torino 1995. He wrote the associative rules on
Diventare cristiani. La catechesi come percorso formativo,

Description
This research on behalf of AICa (Italian Association of
Catechetics) regarding the situation of formation, originates
from the observation that the results of the catechetical
action, do not meet the requirements of the Italian Church. It
participates in the effort of general comprehension for the
future of the Church and that of the Christian communities,
involved in a journey of reflection which has been going on for
the past forty years. With the impulse of the Council they try
to understand the necessary pastoral actions that need to be
carried ou, in order to give back to the Church the possibility
to communicate the Gospel to the new generations in a
significant way. One way is to consider the pastoral educational
formation as a whole in the missionary perspective.
The community has many formative strategies. These are linked to
pastoral indications which are transmitted to agencies,
institutions and centres of theological research. The main and
important theory of the book is based on an adequate concept of
continuous formation. The various pastoral agencies could find a
more appropriate position from this continuous process of
formation. In the near future, the catechesis must and will want
to interact profoundly with them, for the sake of an integrated
pastoral activity, as well as for the oneness of those who
receive it, as the fundamental programmatic episcopal documents
teach us.
One could think of the hypothesis of global reflection
concerning the formative-educational-initiatian and to entrust
this task to an institution whose aim is to make the initial
moment of the formation of Christian life its central point.
