La soggettività si presenta come tema centrale del pensiero di Kierkegaard. L’intera speculazione del filosofo danese è tesa a decifrare l’uomo inteso come soggettività e a stabilire la sua posizione rispetto all’assoluto. La soggettività esistente è l’unico modo per appropriarsi della verità, compito e cammino che non possono esseri considerati compiuti finché l’esistente è nel divenire. La tensione tra il finito e l’infinito porta a cogliere il valore eterno della soggettività e allo stesso tempo a comprendere la sua assenza come disperazione e povertà interiore. Se l’ironia appare, in questa prospettiva, come una difesa e come una conquista della soggettività, l’angoscia e la disperazione sono configurati come i nemici della libertà in sé. È l’incontro con Cristo che ri-crea la soggettività. Per questo, lo sforzo, per quanto iniziato dal singolo individuo, si completa per mezzo della soggettività assoluta. Il punto fondamentale è: diventare soggettività esistenti. Ciò significa entrare nel circolo dell’amore assoluto, dove si arriva solo con il salto della fede, che nasce dall’incontro con il paradosso. Lo studio prosegue dialetticamente approfondendo sia il piano religioso che quello filosofico, tentando di restituire la figura di un pensatore interpretato spesso con schemi precostituiti.

ARDIAN NDRECA is professor of history of contemporary philosophy at the Pontifical Urbaniana University. He deals mainly with themes that refer to the development of German Idealism. He wrote Mediazione o paradosso? Kierkegaard contra Hegel (Pavia, 2000), and many of his articles were published in specialised reviews.

Description

Subjectivity comes across as the main point in Kierkegaard’s thought. The whole speculation of the Danish philosopher is intended to decipher man as subjectivity and to establish his position with respect to the absolute.

The existing subjectivity is the only way to appropriate the truth: a duty and a path that cannot be considered as completed until the existing is in becoming. The tension between the finite and the infinite leads one to grasp the eternal value of subjectivity and, at the same time, to understand its absence as despair and inner poverty. If irony, in such a perspective, comes across as a defence and a victory of subjectivity, anguish and despair, in contrast, are perceived as the enemies of liberty.

It is the meeting with Christ that re-creates subjectivity. That is why the effort, however it is undertaken by the individual, it is completed by means of absolute subjectivity. The main point is to become existing subjectivities. That means entering the circle of absolute love which can only be reached through a leap of faith, which is born out of the meeting with the paradox. The study goes on dialectically deepening both the religious field and the philosophical one, trying to restore the figure of a thinker often interpreted by preconceptions.
