Autore
LUCIE KAYANDAKAZI fa parte della congregazione dei Bene Tereziya. Dopo il noviziato è stata missionaria in Tchad. Ha frequentato gli studi filosofici e teologici all’Università di Friburgo in Svizzera, conseguendo la licenza con una tesi sul rapporto tra il “Rehem” e il volto materno di Dio. Ha ricevuto l’incarico di insegnare l’AT e il NT al noviziato di Bukeye in Burundi. Dottore in teologia, è attualmente membro dell’équipe formatrice dello stesso noviziato.

L’importanza di questo testo è rappresentata dalla ampia riflessione sulla necessità di vedere radicata nella cultura africana una propria esegesi biblica. Solo partendo da questo principio la Parola di Dio può essere veramente comprensibile “a tutti”.
Questo volume, che riporta la traduzione integrale del Libro dei Proverbi in “kirundi”, lingua ufficiale del Burundi, si propone come un esperimento positivo, ma anche come un laboratorio di ricerca e di confronto per gli ambiti di studio e d’interesse che riguardano l’evangelizzazione. L’autrice, infatti, cercando le corrispondenze e mettendo in parallelo i “proverbi biblici” e quelli “kirundi”, ha evidenziato come l’esegesi di matrice occidentale resti talvolta lontana dalle problematiche e dalla sensibilità religiosa delle popolazioni africane. Alla possibilità che una esegesi inculturata si sviluppi sulla base di una corretta impostazione di metodo è legato il futuro della teologia africana.

The
Author
LUCIE KAYANDAKAZI is a member of the congregation of Bene
Tereziya. After the novitiate she was missionary in Tchad. She
attended the philosophical and theological studies in Freeburg,
Switzerland where she got the licence with a thesis on the
relationship between the “Rehem” and the maternal face of God.
She was appointed teacher of Old and New Testament to the
novitiate of Bukeye in Burundi. After getting her doctorate in
theology, she is now member of the formation team of the
novitiate.
Description
The importance of this volume is well represented
by the widespread debate on the need, for the African culture, to
have its own biblical exegesis. Only by starting from such a
principle the word of God can be understandable “to all”.
This volume, that uses the integral translation of
the Book of Proverbs in “kirundi”, the official language of Burundi,
presents itself as a positive experiment as well as a research and
discussion laboratory for any field of study and interest related to
evangelization. The authoress indeed, by researching the relations
and putting in parallel the “biblical proverbs” and the “Kirundi
proverbs”, has underlined how, the western rooted exegesis is
somehow far from the problems and the religious sensitivity of the
African peoples. The future of the African theology is bound to the
possibility that an enculturated exegesis develop on the base of a
correct methods foundation.
