The Library has 2 paper catalogues (by author, title and subject - by dictionary reference and topographic catalogue) made up by handwritten and typewritten cards listing all the library books up to 1992. Furthermore, since 1993 the library has been also using an electronic catalogue.In addition, the Library boasts a third unique and particular catalogue. The Catalogue of non-European language publications is a Library peculiarity with over 18,000 volumes in 530 non-European languages, among which 270 are African languages.
