The BIBLIOGRAPHIA MISSIONARIA is a publication of the Pontifical Missionary Library, founded in 1925 and from 1978 united with the Library of the Pontifical Urbaniana University. Since the beginning it has been taken care of by the librarians of the Missionary Library and it proposes to be an appropriate and up-to-date tool on the world of the Missions. The first volume appeared in 1935 and is published annually. All the volumes of the entire collection are available. 

BIBLIOGRAPHIA MISSIONARIA offers a rich documentation (books and articles) regarding the missionary world, both from the point of view of history (religious orders, missionary congregations, missionary, missionary territories) as well as for the praxis (methodology, Great Religions of the world, ecumenicism, interreligious dialogue, development, new religious movements). It is a unique publication of its kind on the international level and it brings together the publications of all the principal Christian Churches. The books and the articles are quoted in the original language: English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish and Scandinavian languages. Each year presents the whole panorama of the missionary world gathering around 3.000-3.500 bibliographical entries chosen from more than 800 magazines of the whole world. Every volume also contains 40-50 reviews, prepared by experts in the missiological sciences.

 Every volume contains an index of the authors and persons, and an index of the subjects.
